Lodging
Due to changes in recent years in the online booking process and challenges maintaining room holds, we no longer reserve blocks of hotel rooms for Alumni Weekend. To ensure that you have a place to stay for Alumni Weekend, we recommend that you secure hotel reservations now, no code or block required. Online booking sites such as Expedia and Travelocity are excellent, real-time resources. Here is a link to all local lodging options:
Cancellations
Although you'll be missed, we understand things happen and it may be necessary to cancel your weekend registration. If you cancel before October 27, your registration fee will be fully refunded. After that, we cannot issue a refund.
Transportation
MAKE YOUR PLANS TO JOIN US IN LEXINGTON FOR YOUNG ALUMNI WEEKEND 2023!
| Shuttle vans will be available from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m., 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. and 11:00 – 12:30 a.m. on Friday, November 2; 9:00 a.m. – Noon, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and 8:30 – 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 3. Vans will run a specific route to the hotels listed below to the drop-of location in front of Evans Hall. They are unable to pick up or drop-off from any other location. Vans will run on a loop during the designated times, will be stationed in front of Evan Halls, wait times may exist. Parking is available in the W&L parking garage located adjacent to the Duchossois Athletic and Recreation Center. Please be smart, don't drink and drive. |

| The Office of Alumni Engagement is partnering with Public Safety to offer complimentary transportation from the Roanoke and Charlottesville airports to alumni who have registered and paid for Young Alumni Weekend. We ask that you limit your luggage to one checked bag and one carry-on per person due to vehicle space constraints. You must pre-register for a transportation spot by Oct 29, by clicking this link. If you do not pre-register, you are not guaranteed a spot. Shuttles will only be filled if there is enough interest. If your flight is delayed, cancelled or rescheduled, you will be responsible for your own transportation, these are the only times shuttles are being made available. Contact us for more details! |
